We are four days away from the Blue Jays home opener where R.A. Dickey will take the mound for the first time as a Jay. Dickey started slow this spring while methodologically ramping up his velocity and improving his feel for the knuckle ball as the spring went on. We saw an improved Dickey towards the end of the WBC although a few knucklers didn’t knuckle and were smacked around. So what I say. Dickey made it clear before that there’s a process to follow in spring that will get him to where he needs to be come April 2nd.
But there are those fans and media types that express doubt over whether or not Dickey can continue pitching effectively at 38 years old. Continue reading→
