Let’s face it; the month of June is crucial for the Jays where if they don’t have a winning month and make a good dent into the hole they’ve dug themselves, it ain’t going to be a pretty rest of the year. They’ll most likely sell off pieces like Josh Johnson, and Darren Oliver, etc. which undeniably would be a huge failure on the team’s part.
They’re already 4-2 in June and need to go 14-7 the rest of the month to get back to .500. That’s no easy task, but really the Jays need to go on a nice little win streak here and show the rest of the league that they’re not deadwood yet. Sweeping the Texas Rangers with a win on Sunday would be a good start to do just that.
