About

Welcome to Pumped Up Jays, a blog obviously devoted to my beloved Toronto Blue Jays. I usually write with a more positive slant than you might see on other blogs – because I detest the ludicrous ranting and raving from uninformed fans – hence the ‘pumped up’ in the name. So on this site, you’ll see ruminations and personal opinions not only on the Jays, but also on MLB as a whole and its teams. It’s not just one stop shopping here.

As a die hard fan, my earliest memories of the Jays belong to that infamous run in 1989 with Cito and the Jays clenching the division.  Since then, I’ve been hooked and fortunately enough I recall those dramatic World Series years in ’92 and ’93.

Below is a nice shot of myself and my wife at old Yankee Stadium in 2008.  This was the 12th last game ever at the Stadium where our very own Blue Jays earned the win thanks to B.J. Ryan completing the save. We were all smiles because of that!

  1. Merry Rasmus to you too!

  2. Hey, any chance you could tell Rogers that Buck & Pat are terrible announcers, they talk way too much, and a lot of it is pure drivel, I m forced to mute most of the games I watch, or more often, switch to watch another game, go Pirates! Hello from PEI, and thanks for the space to vent.

  3. I don’t listen to them either. Radio is the way to go for me!
